Usage fees for landfill: $25.00 per ton for out of county, $19.00 per ton in county, $7.00 for pickup or small trailer, $5.00 for a car.

There are six recycling centers located throughout Shelby County for the recycling of paper, plastics, aluminum cans, and cardboard (no glass or garbage). All materials are taken to Recycle America, LLC, as subsidiary of Waste Management, for separation and future reuse.
